There is going to be a release glut of Malayalam films in December. From December 8 to 25, nearly a dozen films have announced that they will release.
Even if half of these announced films releases, there is bound to be an acute shortage of theatres and many of them may not get playing time.
Recently Sreenivasan’s Yes Your Hounour and Vaastavam could not get theatres in Ernakulam, Palakkad, Trichur and other centres.
In fact Yes Your Honour an average grosser got only theatres in Ernakulam this week(Dec 1) three weeks after its release in others stations!
