Mammootty and director Blessy are back after that classic Kazhcha with Palunku. It is another family based film with a subtle message is produced by Howly Pottur.
Mammootty, Lakshmi, Jagathy and Nedumudi Venu play lead role in the film which was shot in Thodupuzha and Moovatupuzha. Mammootty plays Monichan, a farmer who has a happy family. The film takes a look at how consumerism has affected all sections of society.
Monichan and his family are forced to leave their home in the hills after they decide to give good education to their two daughters. They are admitted to a convent and Monichan settles in the town with wife Susamma, and children.
He bumps into Soman Pillai (Jagathy), a practical man who teaches him how to make money. How the new environment takes a toll on the life of this naive farmer and his life changes forever forms the rest of the story.
Santhosh Thundiyil, is the cameraman, lyrics are by Kaithapram and Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma. Music is by Mohan Sithara and stills are by Ajit V. Sankar.
