GREAT MOVIE ! grossly misunderstood

I had the same the impression as the first reviewer when I came out the theater. After all this movie had nothing in it.. Just periods, pregnancy and abortion.. It left me wondered how a gifted director and a great producer could make such a big blunder...
BUT... when I was driving back home, I developed this uneasy feeling...the characters came back haunting me.. I was forced to rewind the movie in my mind. My wife had the same uneasy feeling.. Characters were haunting her too. Slowly we talked back into the movie.. We started analyzing the characters scenes sequences etc. We started looking the movie from a broader sense.. Ceratin things beyond periods, pregnancy and abortion...
Now the question was.. Was anything wrong with it??? NO, absolutely no! You will understand what I mean if you have watched the movie..
The movie is all about a lot of sensitive and socially relevant topics.. Relationship between kids and their maturity/ immaturity in dealing serious issues of life.. The misunderstandings that exist between parents and kids (Seira and her father).. We feel for Seira when Pooja ditches her and the only person who understands her is her father whom she had hated all her life.. How many kids realize the depth of love that their parents have for them? Not to mention Sridevi's father whom she feared a lot. But we get a different impression when Sooraj visits her house.. Firoze Ahmed is another beautifully crafted character.. Remember Bill Gates was a high school drop out! The movie also shows the consequences of taking wrong decisions without approaching parents..
The theme is straight forward.. Parents and kids, please do understand each other.. share your problems. talk to them solve those issues with proper guidance.. Warning to teachers.. your job is find out the right talent and bring them up and not look at the fat cheques that parents give..
Coming to the performances. I would say Seira (Roma) and Pooja (?Parvathy) are brilliant.. Watch out for them.. Sooraj and Firoze are OK.. Controlled performances from the older actors.. Visuals are stunning, Camera great. Songs are already on top of the charts!

FLAWS: The theme is so strong that it will take some time for us to digest.. The first half could have been better and gives a wrong impression about the movie (makes you snooze).. Editing has flawed.. Comedy doesnt make anybody laugh.
But on the whole its a great movie with a strong message(s)..

And the eyes more bright
And the lips more scarlet,
Or ask if all be right
From mirror after mirror,
No vanity\''\''s displayed:
I\''\''m looking for the face I had
Before the world was made.
