In my opinion, folks like "Avial", Vineeth Sreeenivaasan, Shaan Rahman, etc.. etc.. are the first ones in the history of Malayalam who are bold enough to chnage the direction of malayalam music to new different heights. Back in the days when folks start to compose songs in western way, the "thala mootha " composers (who refuse to get out of their ruts) turn them down stating they are ruining the beauty of malayalam.

wishing all the best to Vineeth Sreenivasan , Shaan rahman na dthe first malayalam rock group "Avial". (even though, personally I dont like Avial's music)
