Stay against the controversial song in �New�

The Madras High Court has issued an interim stay on a petition filed by advocate Arulmozhi against the addition of a song in S.J.Suryah?s New.
The judges also issued a stay on showing the particular song ?Markandeya Nee Varuvaya?.? on satellite channels!

This is a major blow for Suryah as he was planning to include the song in the film from today after fighting a long battle with the Regional Censor Board in Chennai and later the Revising Committee in Mumbai.

Suryah had issued advertisements in newspapers announcing the inclusion of the song from today to attract the youth and get repeat audience. This was his marketing strategy to counter Vijay?s Madurae releasing today.

When contacted Suryah told Sify.com: ?After the censors had cut a few scenes from the song, I agreed to it but this stay order would undermine the power of censor board?.
