മിനിസ്ക്രീനില് നിന്നും വെള്ളിത്തിരയിലേക്ക് ചേക്കേറുകയാണ് സംവിധായകന് സജി സുരേന്ദ്രന് ‘ഇവര് വിവാഹിതരായാല്’ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ. ഭാമയും ജയസൂര്യയും നായികാനായകന്മാരായെത്തുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കഥയും തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണങ്ങളും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത് കൃഷ്ണ പൂജപ്പുര. എസ്. ഗോപകുമാര് നിര്മ്മിച്ച ഈ ചിത്രത്തില്, വ്യത്യസ്ത വീക്ഷണങ്ങളുള്ള രണ്ടുപേര് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുമ്പോളുണ്ടാവുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് നര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ മേമ്പൊടിയോടെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
കഥയും, കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും [ 2/10 ]

ഏതൊരു കുടുംബകഥയെടുത്താലും പരസ്പരം ചേരാത്ത ഭാര്യയും ഭര്ത്താവും തമ്മിലുള്ള പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ അടിയൊഴുക്കായി കാണാവുന്നതാണ്. ആ രിതിയില് നോക്കുമ്പോള് പ്രമേയത്തില് കാര്യമായ പുതുമയൊന്നുമില്ല. ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടാം വയസില് വിവാഹത്തിനു വാശി പിടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവാവ്, എന്നതാണ് പിന്നെയുള്ള പുതുമ. എന്നാലങ്ങിനെയൊരു ആഗ്രഹം തോന്നുവാനുള്ള കാരണം ഒടുവില് പറയുമ്പോള്, ആ കഥാപാത്രവും കഥാകൃത്തും ഒരു പോലെ അപഹാസ്യരാവുന്നു; വിശേഷിച്ചും സ്ത്രീസുഖം കൊതിക്കുന്നു എന്നര്ത്ഥം വരുന്ന വിവിധ സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങള് തുടക്കം മുതല് കാണിക്കുക കൂടി ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്! രസകരമായ ചില സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങള് ഏച്ചുകെട്ടലുകളില്ലാതെ കഥയില് കൊരുത്തിടുവാനും, അതിനു ചേരുന്ന രീതിയില് സംഭാഷണങ്ങളൊരുക്കുവാനും രചയിതാവിനായി എന്നതാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന് അല്പം ജീവന് നല്കുന്നത്.
സംവിധാനം [ 3/10 ]

ആദ്യ അരമണിക്കൂറോളം വളരെ വേഗത്തില് ആകര്ഷകമായി പറഞ്ഞുപോയ കഥയ്ക്ക് പിന്നീടതിന്റെ ഒഴുക്കു നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. ഒന്നും സംഭവിക്കാതെ കടന്നുപോവുന്ന മധ്യഭാഗം ചിത്രത്തിനോടുള്ള പ്രേക്ഷകന്റെ ആവേശം കളയുന്നു. ഒരു കാര്യം അറിയില്ലെങ്കില് അതു മനസിലാക്കുവാന് ശ്രമിക്കുക എന്ന പ്രായോഗിക ബുദ്ധിപോലും കാണിക്കാത്ത ഒരു എം.ബി.എ.-ക്കാരനെ സങ്കല്പിച്ചത് വല്ലാതെ കടന്നുപോയി. നായകനും നായികയ്ക്കും വ്യക്തിത്വം നല്കുന്നതില് സംവിധായകന് മനസുവെച്ചില്ല. മനോഹരമായ ചിത്രീകരണശൈലിയും ഷോട്ടുകളിലെ വൈവിധ്യവുമാണ് സംവിധായകന്റെ മികവായി പറയാവുന്നത്. ഗാനരംഗങ്ങളില് പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഈ മികവ് പ്രകടമാണ്.
അഭിനയം [ 4/10 ]

സീരിയലുകളിലെന്നതു പോലെ, ഫുള് മേക്കപ്പില് ഉറക്കമുണരുന്നവയാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്. ലാളിച്ചു വഷളാക്കിയ തനി കോമാളിയായി ജയസൂര്യ നന്നായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒടുവിലങ്ങിനെയല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നതില് വിശ്വസിനീയത കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലെന്നു മാത്രം! കാവ്യയായി ഭാമയുടെ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന് തുടര്ച്ച തോന്നിച്ചില്ല. വിവാഹത്തിനു മുന്പ് തന്റേടത്തോടെ കാര്യങ്ങള് ചെയ്യുന്ന കാവ്യ, ശേഷം മിണ്ടാട്ടം പോലുമില്ലാത്ത എല്ലാം സഹിച്ച് ഒതുങ്ങുന്ന ഒരുവളായി മാറുന്നു. ഒടുവിലെ രംഗങ്ങളില് ഏതാണ്ട് പത്തോ പതിനഞ്ചോ മിനിറ്റ് ഭാമയ്ക്ക് സംസാരം പോലുമില്ല! സംവൃത സുനില് അവതരിപ്പിച്ച, വിവേകിന്റെ സുഹൃത്തായ ട്രീസയാണ് ചിത്രത്തില് ശ്രദ്ധ നേടുന്ന മറ്റൊരു കഥാപാത്രം. സുരാജ് വെഞ്ഞാറമ്മൂടിന്റെ വക്കീല്-പാചകക്കാരന് വേഷം വിശ്വസിനീയമല്ല. പക്ഷെ, രംഗങ്ങള്ക്ക് തമാശയുടെ നിറം നല്കുന്നതില് സുരാജ് വിജയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള തമാശകള് പോലും സ്വതസിദ്ധമായ അവതരണത്തിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹം ആസ്വാദ്യകരമാക്കി. വിവേകിന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളായെത്തുന്ന സിദ്ദിഖും രേഖയും തരക്കേടില്ലാതെ അഭിനയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ആവര്ത്തന വിരസതയുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന സംഭാഷണങ്ങളിലൂടെ മടുപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കഥാപാത്രമാണ് നെടുമുടി വേണു അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഫ്രെഡി അങ്കിള്. മറ്റു വേഷങ്ങളിലെത്തുന്ന ഗണേഷ് കുമാര്, ദേവന്, മല്ലിക സുകുമാരന്, അനൂപ് മേനോന്, സുരേഷ് കൃഷ്ണ തുടങ്ങിയവരും ഒരു പാട്ടു രംഗത്തില് മാത്രമെത്തുന്ന നവ്യ നായരെപ്പോലെ അതിഥി താരങ്ങള് തന്നെ.
സാങ്കേതികം [ 4/5 ]

അനില് നായരിന്റെ ഛായാഗ്രഹണവും മനോജിന്റെ ചിത്രസംയോജനവും ചിത്രത്തിനൊരു മുതല്ക്കൂട്ടാണ്. പുതുമ തോന്നിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില് ചിത്രത്തെ ഒരുക്കിയെടുക്കുവാന് ഇവരിരുവര്ക്കും സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. സീനില് വരുന്ന ഭാഗങ്ങളാകെ മോടികൂട്ടി എടുക്കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു സുജിത് രാഘവിന്റെ കലാസംവിധാനം. ഗാനരംഗങ്ങളില് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള മുരുകേഷിന്റെ ഇഫക്ടുകളും നന്ന്. മോഹന് സിത്താരയുടെ പിന്നണി സംഗീതവും പ്രേക്ഷകരെ അലോസരപ്പെടുത്തുന്നില്ല.
പാട്ട്, നൃത്തം, ആക്ഷന് [ 3/5 ]

ഗിരീഷ് പുത്തഞ്ചേരി എഴുതി എം. ജയചന്ദ്രന് ഈണം പകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഗാനങ്ങള് തരക്കേടില്ല. ചിത്രത്തില് തിരുകി കയറ്റിയതെങ്കിലും, സൈനോജിന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തിലുള്ള “എനിക്കു പാടാനൊരു പാട്ടിനുണ്ടൊരു പെണ്ണ്...” എന്ന ഗാനം വിശേഷിച്ചും മികവു പുലര്ത്തി. എസ്. രമേശന് നായര് എഴുതി, എം.ജി. രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്റെ സംഗീതസംവിധാനത്തിലുള്ള ‘രാക്കുയിലിന് രാഗസദസില്’ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ “പൂമുഖ വാതില്ക്കല് സ്നേഹം വിടര്ത്തുന്ന...” എന്ന ഗാനം വിജയ് യേശുദാസിന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തില് ചില പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങളോടെ ഇതില് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അച്ഛന് പാടിയ യഥാര്ത്ഥ ഗാനം മകന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തില് വന്നപ്പോള് ആ പാട്ടിന്റെ ആത്മാവു തന്നെ നഷ്ടമായതുപോലെ! കുത്തി തിരുകിയ നൃത്ത-സംഘട്ടന രംഗങ്ങള് ചിത്രത്തിലില്ല എന്നത് ആശ്വസിക്കുവാന് വക നല്കുന്നതാണ്.
ആകെത്തുക [ 4.0/10 ]

പരസ്പരം ചേര്ന്നു പോവാത്ത രണ്ടുപേര് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചാല് എന്തുസംഭവിക്കും എന്ന ചിന്തയില് നിന്നുമാണ് ഈ ചിത്രമുണ്ടായതെന്നാണ് സംവിധായകന് ഒരു അഭിമുഖത്തില് പറഞ്ഞത്. ഇത്തരമൊരു നേര്ത്ത നൂലില് തൂങ്ങി ഒരു ചിത്രമെടുത്തതിന്റെ കുഴപ്പങ്ങളൊക്കെ ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്കുണ്ട്. രണ്ടു മണിക്കൂറില് പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ക്കാവുന്ന വിഷയത്തിന് മൂന്നു മണിക്കൂറിനടുത്ത് ദൈര്ഘ്യം വന്നത് സംവിധായകന്റെ ശീലത്തിന്റെ പ്രശ്നമാവാം. ഇവരെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവരൊക്കെ വിവാഹിതരായാലും കാര്യമായൊന്നും സംഭവിക്കില്ലെന്നാണ് ചിത്രം കണ്ടിറങ്ങുമ്പോള് മനസിലാവുക. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ അണിയറക്കാര് ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത് എന്തായാലും ഇങ്ങിനെയാവില്ലല്ലോ! ഇടയ്ക്ക് ഭാമയുടെ കഥാപാത്രം വിവേകിനോട് പറയുന്നതുപോലെ, ‘ദേഷമോ സങ്കടമോ അല്ല, സഹതാപമാണ് തോന്നുന്നത്!’; ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടാക്കളോട് കാണികള്ക്ക് പറയുവാനുള്ളതും മറ്റൊന്നാവില്ല!

After being in the industry for seven long years since his debut hit, ‘Oomapenninu Uriyaada Payyan’ Jayasuriya has finally delivered his first solo hit in the new movie ‘Ivar Vivaahitharayaal’. Directed by television wizard Saji Surendran, the movie is going well all over Kerala.
With a collection of around a crore from its thirty three screens in the first week, the movie has amazed a distributor share of around 45 lakhs. This is the first time that a movie featuring Jayasuriya as the lone hero has gone for such a good opening week.
The movie which started on an average note in the first day gradually gained collections with the second and third days with houseful shows in the metros. The movie also is a eye-opener for the industry, which has just created four hits in the first six months.
‘Ivar Vivaahitharayaal’ even though in a regular script lines, interested the audience mainly due to its different presentations and the laudable performances that its director Saji Surendran was able to bring in. The movie is all set to become the fifth big hit of the year after the movies like Makante Achan, Harihar Nagar 2, Passenger and Bhagyadevatha.

Jayasurya gets a solo hit!

Jayasurya has given his first solo hit Ivar Vivahithirayal, which is doing very well all over Kerala. The film has been appreciated by the family audiences.
At the box-office, this Saji Surendran directed film has grossed an amazing Rs 90 lakhs from 33 screens in its first week. The distributors share is an impressive Rs 40 lakhs!
Says Alex George of Central Pictures, who are distributing the film: “ It is amazing that a Jayasurya film could gross such a huge amount in its first week, the film is a super hit.”
The success of Ivar Vivahithirayal, augers well for not only Jayasurya but also for the Malayalam film industry. As a solo hero if the script is good, he is saleable and has an audience.
