Kaleidoscope gears up for Jackie Chan - Mallika film

Come October and India is going to see an amalgamation of Hong Kong and Indian crew and cast for two weeks of shooting in Hampi. We are talking of the Jackie Chan - Mallika Sherawat film The Myth, the remaining portions of which will be shot in Hampi in Karnataka, India.

The story goes back to almost a year ago when Kaleidoscope Entertainment (Saathiya, Bandit Queen, The Rising) was approached by Wonder World Corporation for Co-production of a project starring Jackie Chan. Barbie Tung (Producer) came to India along with the Director Stanley Tong to discuss the project and recce locations in India almost a year ago. Stanley Tong has directed superhit movies like Police Story 3: Super Cop and Rumble in the Bronx. The visitors saw Manali, Jaipur, Udaipur and even saw Hampi. It was Hampi that they finally settled on.

Later Stanley came down to select his leading lady. Many actresses were approached but Mallika Sherawat was finally chosen. He found her flexible and perfect to look at. Within a week she was packed off to Shanghai for two weeks of rehearsals, costume fittings and shooting with white tigers, Kalaripayyattu fighters from Kerala and Jackie Chan himself
