Prithviraj after acting as police officer in Sathyam will do the role of an army captain in M Padma Kumar's Vargam. Padma Kumar's last film was Ammakilikoodu with Prithviraj. The film produced by Subair under the banner of Varnachithra has script by Renjith. Screenplay and dialogues are by T A Rasak. Sanjeev Shanker handles the camera. The shooting of the film is expected to begin on October 5 at Coimbatore and Palakkad.
Prithiviraj lost out the Sibi Malayil film with Jayram since he had given dates to Sathyam. He was to do guest role in Kamal's film but later it was done by Dilip. Priyanandan film had Prithiviraj but the project is embroiled in dispute among the producers. Many heroines are shying away from acting in Prithiviraj films and recently Mamooty openly stated that the allegation that he and Mohanlal were paying money to people to hoot at theatres showing Prithiviraj films was only a figment of imagination.
