Mohanlal, our beloved “Lalettan” becomes the first actor from Malayalam to be featured in the prestigious “India Today” power list of the 50 people chosen “for their ability to wield influence on the National stage in a wide area of activities”.
Mohanlal is the 48th on the list of “who is who” of the most powerful and affluent in the country in various fields. He is the only actor from South Indian cinema who is featured in the list. Earlier Rajnikanth and Chiranjeevi had been featured in the power list.
This could not have come at a better time for the versatile actor as he has proved once again that he is the ‘Numero Uno” actor in Malayalam even after 26 years in the industry. To quote a good friend Sreenivasan: “Mohanlal Aanu Tharam” (“Mohanlal is the star”)
