S.J.Suryah?s New has taken a bumper opening and created a new collection record all over Tamilnadu. The film was mutilated by censors but is being appreciated by the lower class audience for its smutty dialogues and titillation.
'Woodlands theatre' in Chennai has reported a 100 percent collection for the opening weekend. Down south in 'Bombay theatre' has reported all 12 shows full. But a clear picture will emerge only by Tuesday whether the film can hold on or not?

Anyway New has surprised the trade, as its bilingual Naani in Telugu was a wash-out.
