Ajit was injured during the shooting of Lingusamy directed Ji at Kumbakonam. Ji is said to be a political action thriller with a lot of dare devil action scenes.
Stunt master Super Subbarayan was choreographing action scenes of Ajit and a group of stuntmen when the mishap happened. The actor had a miraculous escape when a flying tray thrown at the actor missed and hit his forehead, resulting in heavy bleeding. Immediately, he was taken to caravan at the shooting spot and given first-aid. The actor was then rushed to a private nursing home and was attended to by doctors.
Ji is produced by NIC Arts Chakravarthy and Trisha is the heroine
