Nayantara has become a typical Kollywood actress now. Like her predecessor Simran, she too has stared appearing in songs.

Nayantara making a special appearance in Vijay's new film 'Sivakashi'. She will be paid a hefty sum for the four-minute long song. This now firmly establishes her as one of the most bankable heroines in Tamil cinema.

When asked if she would continue making more such appearances in films, she refused. Nayantara says that she had accepted this offer only because Vijay himself had personally requested her.

She is now starring with Surya in the film 'Ghajini'. Asin is the other heroine in the film.
