NARAN-A Joshi-M'lal Film...

‘Better late than never’, so goes an old maxim. This is what producer Anthony Perumbavoor and director Joshi thinks, or so they seem to think. Their film ‘Naran’ was stuck for too long as it was announced a year ago. But now, they are trying hard to release it on September 2nd.

Veteran actor Mohanlal plays the lead role in the film. He plays the character of a man called Mullankolli Velayudhan, who is willing to do any type of job as long as it fetch him find good bucks. He is social-minded and does things that he thinks would help the people of his village. He has the leadership quality and always wins in spite of occasional resistance from the villagers.
In the film, there are three women in Velayudhan‘s life. And the story that follows is on how these women ruins his life. This is the first time that Mohanlal and Joshi are doing village-oriented film. Earlier, they were more into urban-oriented and action movies.

The story doesn’t look promising. It is rather dull. But Ranjan Pramod had put in lots of efforts to make it a good film. He is known for giving life to rather lifeless stories in his earlier films. Moreover, the film was postponed more than once, and so, the film crew must have rehearsed their parts well in advance.

Mohanlal surely needs a hit this time round. And he should have worked hard to get there. Hope this film rescues him when he needs most.

mohan lal needs a hit, thats a fact. but he doesn't need any kind of rescue from any film.he is the last word in the box office till today.
