And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed

thamizh naatil 'tamil patriotism' vallare kooduthal anu...if you go back to indian history you will find that TN wanted to be independent from India. TN gives a lot of importance to 'tamil culture' than even indian culture!! That explains why 'hindi' is still not accepted by them as the national language. (no offence to TN)

Makkale, njan tamilnadu thanne ya. i accept tamilians have such feeling of more 'tamil culture'. But now the new generation that too learned generation its changing, and specifically i myself don bleev in tamil alone. Eniki epolum njan indian thanne feel cheyyunu. I am open to all good things in every culture. And also i learnt hindi as my language in school and not tamil. But i speak good tamil becuase its my mother tongue. Malayalam i am just in learning phase. u must have known by the way i type in malayalam. If i was the tamilian u think of then i would not be asking such a question. I was just curious to know if there is any song. But from the replies i get to know there is not any in tamil. also from your replies i am sure that i shud make it clear that tamilians are also ready to accept other culture nowadays.
On srilankan issue i just felt for those people who were killed by army, for that i never accepted LTTE(especially for murdering Rajiv Gandhi) activities and blanmed Srilankan govt. After all its not our country.
Athu pote. Let me stick to my question. If anyone has still heard of a Onam tamil song do tell me.
